The 2nd Michał Spisak International Music Competition in Dąbrowa Górnicza finished on 14 September 2008 with the announcement of results, awarding of prizes and the Laureate Concert. For ten days (5-14.09.2008) Dąbrowa Górnicza was visited by remarkable young musicians from Poland and abroad. The competition was attended by musicians from Poland, Hungary, Korea and Germany. Young artists competed in three separate specialties: trumpet, French horn and trombone. The 2nd Michał Spisak International Music Competition was organized by the City of Dąbrowa Górnicza, Pałac Kultury Zagłębia and the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice. The organizer and coordinator of the Competition on behalf of the City was the Department of Culture at the City Hall in Dąbrowa Górnicza.
